MOST IMPORTANT LESSON LEARNT

To me, I think the most important and most useful lesson learnt in this CDS is literally Using Internet as a Research Tool. This is due to the fact that it taught me more about the different search engines and how to utilise them. It also taught me more about internet social network services.

uhhh last post?

haven't been updating this past few days.

shall try to recall everything i've done since april 2. which is hard.
so pardon me if i miss out some stuff..

i dont exactly remember the stuff..

oh yea.. it was all about ethnics and wiki the past few days.

We talked about youtube.com and talkingcock.com

We roleplayed as different individuals to show our opinions about talkingcock.com

We played some games such as crossword to aid us in our understanding of UIR.

will go into details in the presentation.

did a test today. was quite good? 14 out of 20. ok maybe not THAT good. but =D at least i tried.

FRIENDSTER VS FACEBOOK

1) 1 weakness
weakness about social service network is that you would never know if the friend you're making is impersonating someone else.

2) 1 strength
you are able to make friends with people from all over the world.

3) can they ever replace face-to-face social interactions? why?
no. as you cannot be sure of the friend that you're making.

I used google to source for my pictures as it is one of the most popular search engines.
I had chose this picture as it was taken by a photographer on his travel which i think is a good image to represent japan.

March 28

Class was a breeze today. It was more of picking up of yesterday's work then actual teaching.
but i also learnt alot about search engines. and found out that meta search engines was far better and more efficient as it shortens the time i have to search for results by automatically searching across platforms.

So which would it be for future searches? google or metacrawler...hmmm i actually have no idea. xD

so thats about it for today. =D

TODAY WAS zzzz.
there was a short circuit and some files went missing.
we learnt about the different search engines like google search engine, meta search engine and subject directory. have yet to try out meta search and subject directory but i shall begin my conquest today. =D

March 26 2nd post

Today was tiring, due to lack of sleep >.<
but it was quite a breeze.
learnt about the different purposes of websites today.
i also learnt about site feeding and how to do it.
i think site feeding is very useful as it allows easy view about what people has blogged for the day.
